Transform Exchange

When?

What?

So you take a group of young people from Urban Junction, Mix them with a group of Glenn Masons Youth Group from Northern Ireland add another group from Chemnitz and you get “Transform Exchange”.

Transform Exchange is a huge event happening in Urban Junction this Summer! An event we are all very excited about! It came about when Fiona Orr spent a year in Germany, returned and decided it would be a great idea to bring some of the youths she worked with over to Ireland. Naturally Urban Junction thought this was a great idea! Around the same time Glenn Mason asked would it be possible for him to bring a few of his youths down to take part in some of the Summer vents in Urban Junction. And basically we came up with mixed all the groups together and creating a huge programme called Transform Exchange.

There will be 55 people or so involved in the event which is a week long (July 13th-20th) We plan to go away for 4 days down to a lovely place in Moneylands Farm, Arklow. There we will focus on the theme of identity, mixed with a few games and different activities aswell as learning about each others faith and cultures. We will have cultural evening where each group can share part of their culture, so it’s a huge learning experience for everyone involved. We will also spend some time in Dublin City, and in Blackrock taking part in community events, like the Big Community Fun Day
